Hand-modeled in polyurethane foam and cast using the traditional lost-wax technique, the Small Gold Sea Urchin Ring is formed in 18-karat gold. The structure translates the radial geometry of a sea urchin into a compact sculptural form, preserving irregularity and surface depth.
An oxidation patina is applied to emphasize texture and shadow across the gold surface, enhancing the contrast between polished edges and recessed detail. Each piece is individually finished, resulting in subtle variations in tone and texture.
